The New Apostolic Church in French-speaking Cameroon has a new Apostle. On October 5, Apostle Ebanga Edoa Félicien retired in Gabon, making way for District Elder Bidjang Ekanga Désiré.

Gratitude and Roadmap
The international president of the New Apostolic Church, Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider, thanked the outgoing apostle for his faithfulness to the Lord for 33 years, including 23 years as an Apostle. For continuity, District Elder Bidjang Ekanga Désire was ordained for French-speaking Cameroon, and the roadmap was set out: "Your mission is not to solve the many problems of this earthly world; your mission is to teach and prepare souls for the return of Christ." The Chief Apostle addressed the new Apostle, Bidjang Ekanga Désiré.

Who is the new Apostle?
Born in 1973, now 52 years old, married to Tchamgwe Jabea Rebecca, father of three children, Bidjang Ekanga Désiré became a member of the New Apostolic Church by the act of Holy Sealing in 1993. At the same time he was ordained in the ministry of Sub-Deacon. In his ministerial career he successively held the ministries of:

  • Priest in 1996
  • Community Evangelist in 2000
  • Shepherd in 2002
  • District Evangelist in 2006
  • District Elder in 2017

The former District Leader of Yaoundé 2 was called to the apostolate in Gabon on October 5, 2025. He takes over the leadership of the church in French-speaking Cameroon, following the retirement of Apostle Félicien Ebanga. The brothers and sisters in Christ in his area of ​​activity welcome him with open hearts and a willingness to support him in his high and holy mission.

Apostle Ebanga Edoa Félicien
Born in 1958, he has been active in ministry for over 33 years, including 23 years as an apostle. He was ordained in 2002 to the apostolate for French-speaking Cameroon. He was also entrusted with the care of the church in Gabon until 2023. Apostle Félicien carried out his mission with faith and love, caring for each soul entrusted to his care. All the New Apostolic faithful in his area of ​​activity will forever remain united with him in deep gratitude for his immense and unforgettable work, accomplished with joy and love in the Lord.
