Family picture after the divine service
7 June 2025

A Gathering for Youth Education As a prelude to the National Youth Days in Kribi in August 2025, the Yaoundé 1 district organizes a quarterly gathering of young people from all constituent communities. The objectives of this gathering are to monitor, through teaching, the fostering of a spirit of fellowship and community living among the members of this particular group. This meeting was held on May 31, 2025, in the Ngoa-Ekelle/Yaoundé congregation.

The Program
After the opening prayer by the rector of the host community, the theme of the spiritual focus revolved around the situation of the church today. Young people were asked to always seek the Lord for the spirit of discernment so as not to succumb to the world's offerings through its lusts. This opening was followed by workshop activities on the theme "All that glitters is not gold." The key points during the presentations by the different groups were: Accepting that we are special beings and, for this reason, serving God out of love, not allowing ourselves to be seduced and led astray by these false prophets who use trickery and promise us the earth and the earth, and above all, remaining faithful to God through thick and thin.

The Divine Service
To cap off the meeting, Apostle Ebanga Edoa Félicien invited the about sixty young people to a divine service. The biblical excerpt was taken from Deuteronomy 3:16-17: "Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied to King Nebuchadnezzar, 'We have no need to answer you in this matter. Behold, our God, whom we serve, is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us from your hand, O king.'" This word demonstrates the faith and faithfulness to God of Daniel's three friends, who were able to overcome fear and emerge victorious from the ordeal of the fiery furnace.

Financial support from each congregation in the district enabled another form of fellowship through the feast prepared by the host congregation.
