The harvest feast, a reason for gratitude also in Francophone Cameroon
The twelve districts that currently constitute the New Apostolic Church in French-speaking Cameroon have on Sunday, October 6, 2024, expressed in praise and gratitude, the high and good things of the Lord through their participation in the divine service of thanksgiving.
Indeed, through the biblical extract from Ps 145: 2 the faithful learned that we must constantly celebrate and bless the Lord out of love and gratitude through not only our special offering but also our daily sacrifices.
The help of the Lord in both natural and spiritual life throughout the previous year was visible.
Activities
The specificities for this particular divine service include the special decoration of the altar with flowers and fruits, which at the end of the divine service are, once again, purchased by the donors as they have become the property of God for a symbolic franc. The proceeds of this sale are, once again placed in the offering box. The fruits thus sold are at the end shared among all as a sign of fraternal communion.
